Lessons for the everyday makeup lover.
Learning how to do your makeup can be intimidating, but not around here.
I wasn’t born with a makeup brush in my hand, either!
Every woman has a different relationship with makeup, none of which are a wrong way to approach beauty. My lessons are designed to meet you where you’re at in a zero judgement zone.
Maybe you've been doing your makeup the same way since high school. Maybe you own a million products but aren't totally sure how to use them. Maybe your face, skin, or preferences have changed and your old routine just doesn't feel like you anymore.
Whatever brought you here, you're not behind. Makeup is a skill, and it can be learned.
My lessons are designed to help you understand your face, your products, and your preferences — without judgment, outdated rules (yes you can wear shimmer if you’re 60+!!!), or a one-size-fits-all routine.
“I loved my private lesson! To get a professional opinion on struggles I have been having, is invaluable. I do not have an occasion, but wanted a professional opinion on my changing (aging!) skin. I got some much needed & personalized advice for application technique, contour placement, eyebrow shaping, and a simple smokey eye (my everyday go-to!). SO much fun, and I have seen the positive change in my application since that day! Go for this class if you just want to improve your overall look!” -PAM
HOW IT WORKS
-
My makeup lessons are designed to be hands-on and completely personalized to you. I'll demonstrate each technique on one side of your face, and you'll replicate it on the other with my guidance. We'll talk through the why behind each step so you understand how to recreate it on your own beyond our lesson.
We'll also work with the makeup you already own, identifying what's working, what isn't, and what may be worth replacing or adding.
The goal isn't for me to do your makeup for you — it's for you to leave knowing how to do it yourself.
-
Your lesson is tailored to what you actually want help with, but we can discuss things like:
Creating an everyday or evening makeup routine
Makeup for your individual features
Product formulas, textures, and colors that are best for you
Working with changing or aging skin
Understanding the products you already own
Simplifying an overwhelming makeup collection
Updating an outdated routine
and more!
There isn't a required “perfect” routine you need to leave with. We'll focus on the things that will actually make a difference for you.
-
Bring your everyday makeup products and the tools you use at home. I want to see what you're actually working with, not have you show up with a brand-new collection of products you've never used (unless you wanna shop for them together first!)
We'll sort through what you have together, and I'll let you know what I think is worth keeping, changing, or adding.
Product recommendations and other educational resources are provided in the days following your lesson in a PDF guide. I don’t want to leave you high and dry after we’re done, I'm here to teach you how to make informed decisions for yourself the next sit at your vanity.

“My makeup lesson with Carly was honestly so much fun and so worth it! She is the sweetest person and is genuinely willing to help and teach. I usually don't wear much makeup, so I was a total makeup beginner - clueless about how to use bronzer and never even applied fake lashes before. Getting recommendations from her on how to use the products I already own and also what simple additions I could make to my collection was so useful. She helped me become a lot more comfortable with my makeup and how I should be applying it to my face. After our lesson, I spent the rest of the night on Facetime with friends and family to show them my makeup! :) I'm excited to be able to use my new makeup skills the next time I get dressed up or if I just want to feel more put together!” -AYSUN
Learning makeup doesn’t have to be approached in an anxious mindset.
You don't need to know the right terminology. You don't need to own expensive products. You don't need to be “good at makeup.”
You just need to show up with your makeup bag, your questions, and a willingness to try something a little differently.
I'll take care of the rest.
