I’m Carly Jo, and I’m a makeup artist who specializes in wedding makeup and makeup artist education.
Beauty has always been a constant in my life, and I’m so blessed to share my craft and passion with women who love makeup equally as me on their biggest day.
I’m fortunate to be in my 10th year of providing wedding makeup for brides that want an elevated version of themselves.

It all started at the Clinique counter.
My mom and aunt took me to the Clinique counter to get my makeup done for my 12th birthday. While beauty has always been a constant in my life, it was then that my passion grew.
While attending a trade school for cosmetology in high school, I chopped my hair into a pixie cut and used makeup as a new “security blanket” and creative outlet. That quickly grew into doing makeup for friends and family school dances and weddings. I worked in a salon while in school, building my customer service and makeup skills.
After earning my full license in 2017, I hit the ground running working as many weddings and photoshoots as I could.
In February 2020, I decided to leave my salon job for a 9-5 remote position at an insurance company so I could go freelance (wonderful timing, eh?). My PTO was -70 hours by June 2022 since I’d rather work weddings on Fridays (duhhh), so I left that job to pursue makeup full time.
Fast forward to 2026, I’m blessed to not only help brides feel beautiful on their big days, but also helping other makeup artists feel confident behind the brush in my artist education services.
Why this approach?
Because I know what it feels like to want that experience —
I did my own makeup for my wedding, but if I had hired someone, I would have imagined someone who didn’t just arrive early with a fully-stocked kit and looking the part; I would want someone whose calming approach alleviates my nerves with soft brush strokes keeping me in the moment, and a connection so close they can read the room when no one else is.
Most of all, I’d want them to treat makeup as an art form, not just a trend. To enhance me, not change me, so I could feel like myself, but the elevated, bridal version. That’s the exact experience I now create for every client: calm, curated, and filled with good energy, so you can savor the moment and start your day beautifully.

My approach leans holistically; setting intentions and staying in a healthy and positive mindset is a value of mine I’m thankful to share with clients.
With the help of intention setting, collaboration, and maybe a little breath work here and there, my mission is to help you feel calm and confident.

Luxury doesn’t have to feel stiff or overly serious. My artistry blends polish with ease, like a soft linen shirt – buttoned up, yet cozy & effortless. The result is a makeup experience that feels elevated, refined, and still completely comfortable.

I intentionally work with smaller wedding parties so that I can give each client my full attention. No rushing, no assembly-line glam, just thoughtful, detail-driven artistry that leaves every client feeling seen, supported, and celebrated.

Makeup is a two-way street. I want clients to feel comfortable sharing their vision, preferences, and honest feedback, while also trusting my expertise, education, and artistry to guide the process. Only together can we create a look that feels authentic and elevated.
