I fell in love with makeup when I chopped my hair into a pixie cut in 2015 - ‘cause you experiment when you’re in cosmetology school! It felt like something was missing since I didn’t have the length of hair I was used to. So I decided to play in my Coastal Scents eyeshadow palette, with 252 colorful AF shades, and wake up at 4/5 AM to create crazy, colorful makeup looks before school. I would ask family and friends to be models and do their dance and wedding makeup as I decided that makeup is what I wanted to do for my career and wanted to learn how to start in bridal. Since cosmetology schools seldom teach makeup, I decided to move to Chicago for 5 months in 2019 to attend Makeup First School of Makeup Artistry where I learned so much more about not only makeup itself, but the business aspect, too. With having the opportunity to be a bridal makeup artist, receptionist, and manager for a few different salons from 2015 - 2020, I gained an abundance of knowledge and confidence to become fully freelance in March 2020. Not the best time to have started, lol, which is why I worked your typical 9-5, M-F, customer service job in insurance while working weddings. I left that job in June 2022 to pursue makeup full time. There are no words to describe the gratitude I have for my clients helping me get to this step and believing and putting their trust in me to help make them feel their absolute best on the most important day. ♡
